Harry Kane has urged his Tottenham team-mates to clinch qualification for the Europa League - then go on and win the competition.
If Spurs avoid defeat to CSKA Moscow on Wednesday night, they will move into the Europa League last-32 as third-place finishers from Champions League Group E.
Mauricio Pochettino's side have won just one of their five Champions League group games so far, and Kane admits results have not gone to plan.
"It's been a frustrating campaign in the Champions League, but we know we need to go out and win on Wednesday night," Kane, who netted twice in the recent 5-0 win over Swansea City, told the club's official website.
"We have to finish the group with a bit of pride, qualify for the Europa League and then try to win it because that's what football is all about, winning trophies.
"We also want to give the supporters something to cheer about. They've been incredible in our last two matches at Wembley, setting attendance records both times but we've not been able to repay that by giving them something to celebrate.
"That hurts us as players, so it's important we send them home happy with a victory this time."
CSKA Moscow can also qualify for the Europa League and their manager Leonid Slutsky, who faces Spurs in his final game before stepping down, expects a similar match to the reverse fixture, when Tottenham edged past the Russians by a single goal.
"They [Tottenham] are a strong team with some great players and we expect a tough game just like before," he said.
"This group is very equal in my opinion. The results in all the games, apart from our game with Monaco, have been decided by one goal or a draw.
"At the same time we know the game will be very tough. Everyone will want to finish with a victory. I want to do that as well but it will not be easy to win."
