The redevelopment of White Hart Lane is well underway as new aerial images emerge of the latest building work

The latest pictures have been released from Sky News' helicopter of Tottenham's White Hart Lane ground.

The demolition is well underway and the old ground looks unrecognisable, just two weeks after Spurs beat Manchester United 2-1 in the final match inside the stadium.

But construction of a stunning new 61,500-seater ground is well underway and Spurs are expected to move in for the 2018/19 season.

However, next term they will play all of their home matches at Wembley while the new stadium is built.

Legendary Spurs manager Bill Nicholson's ashes had been placed underneath the halfway line at White Hart Lane and they will be carefully moved into the new ground.

The new home will have a 17,000-seater 'Kop'-style home stand and a retractable pitch so the club can also host NFL matches.

The north London side are a club on the up under Mauricio Pochettino and finished second in the Premier League table, securing Champions League football for the second season in a row.
