Mouscron consider Blondel move

EXCLUSIVE
BELGIAN side Excelsior Mouscron have admitted an interest in taking Tottenham starlet Jonathan Blondel back to the club.

The 18-year-old arrived at Spurs from Mouscron in the summer for an undisclosed sum, but he has failed to make the expected impact at White Hart Lane.

Blondel is now being linked with a move back to the Jupiler League in order to regain his form and confidence.

"Our president made a phone call to them about the player and to make contact with them as we have heard about his situation at Tottenham," confirmed Mouscron's chief executive Gino Gylain.

"However, nothing is official, maybe something will happen, but we will have to see what happens."

Blondel won his first cap for Belgium in August, but since his move to North London he has made just one substitute appearance.

Spurs are highly unlikely to let Blondel leave after just a matter of months with them, but may allow him to return to Mouscron to get back some much needed confidence.
