Harry Kane hopes coming up against a team he scored against four times last season can help him break his duck for the new campaign.

The Tottenham striker will lead his team's attack against Premier League leaders Leicester at the King Power Stadium having drawn a blank in matches with Manchester United and Stoke so far.

Just as his side are looking to kick-start their campaign, Kane is hopeful of the same against a team he spent three months with on loan in 2013.

The 22-year-old England international scored twice in that spell and hopes going back to familiar surroundings will inspire him.

He struck in the first minute there on Boxing Day before hitting his first top-flight hat-trick at White Hart Lane in March.

Kane told Tottenham's website: "I spent a bit of time at Leicester so I know a few faces there and it will be good to see them. I enjoy playing against them.

"Obviously, I scored once away and got a hat-trick at home last season so hopefully I can continue that form against them."

Tottenham – who will be without Andros Townsend because of an ankle injury – sacrificed a 2-0 lead in their last match against Stoke to draw 2-2.

Kane believes their form has been better than their results suggest and added: "I think we've been a bit unlucky in the last two games.

"We've been playing some good football so we want to start the game at a high tempo this weekend, keep the ball, create some chances and hopefully get some goals.

"The points are the most important thing and three of them will be massive for us on Saturday."
