Aston Villa captain Micah Richards has been charged with improper conduct following an incident in the tunnel at the end of last week's home game against Swansea.

The former Manchester City defender has until 6pm this Thursday to reply to the charge.

The tunnel was visibly shaking from side to side as stewards rushed in to calm the situation down as the teams left the pitch following the final whistle.

The FA also referred a coming together involving Richards and Swansea defender Federico Fernandez in the 30th minute of the match, which Swansea won 2-1, which was not seen by the match officials but caught on video.
