Celtic have confirmed they have completed the signing of winger Scott Sinclair from Aston Villa on a four-year contract.
The 27-year-old, who passed a medical in Glasgow on Saturday, has been a target for Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers throughout the summer transfer window.
Sinclair could be included in the Celtic squad to face Hearts at Tynecastle on Sunday afternoon as the team begins their defence of the Scottish Premiership title, and the 27-year-old is looking forward to a new chapter in his career.
"It feels amazing to have joined Celtic. It's a massive club and I'm looking forward to it. I'm here now and I'm happy to be here," Sinclair said on the club's official website.
"I can't wait to get on the pitch. When I went back to Aston Villa for pre-season, I heard Celtic were interested, and I just knew I had to come here.
"I had to look at this move and I thought it would be great for me. And because I know the manager and I know what to expect, hopefully I can get off to a flying start."
Rodgers first worked with Sinclair when he was on the coaching staff at Chelsea when the player arrived at Stamford Bridge from his first club Bristol Rovers in 2005.
The pair were reunited five years later when Rodgers was manager of Swansea and he signed the player for £500,000.
Sinclair made a big impression with the south Wales club and was sold to Manchester City for around £8m in August 2012.
But Sinclair struggled to break into the City first-team, where he played with current Celtic duo Dedryck Boyata and Kolo Toure, before he moved to Aston Villa on a permanent deal following a loan spell with the club.
"The manager had a great influence when I was at Swansea and that's when I played my best football, and hopefully now I can get the best football out of me and get my form back out there and score goals and perform," Sinclair added.
"I'm just hoping to come here, score some goals, create chances and hopefully excite the fans.
"I know Kolo Toure and Dedryck Boyata from Manchester City, but I'm sure it's a great set of lads here and I'll quickly settle in."
Sinclair is Celtic's fourth signing this summer with striker Moussa Dembele, midfielder Toure joining Kristoffer Ajer, who singed a pre-contract at the turn of the year.
