Villa keeper heads to Lincoln

Lincoln have agreed a deal to sign Aston Villa goalkeeper Robert Olejnik on loan.

Lincoln City have agreed a deal to sign Aston Villa goalkeeper Robert Olejnik on loan.

Olejnik is due to join the League Two side until the end of the season, and will be available for the play-offs, should Lincoln be involved.

He has yet to make a first-team appearance for Villa, although he has featured on the bench this season.

The Austria Under 21 international has been at Villa Park for almost four years and is rated highly by the Premiership club.

But he could accrue some first-team experience with John Schofield's promotion chasers and will go into the squad for Friday's game at leaders Hartlepool United.
