Aleksandar Mitrovic is keen to show he is 'a calm guy' after an eventful start to his time at Newcastle United.
The striker, a £13m summer signing from Anderlecht, has been booked twice and sent off once in a mere 127 minutes on the pitch for his new club.
He was yellow-carded 22 seconds into his debut for a tackle on Southampton's Matt Targett and the following week, only 90 seconds had elapsed before a wild challenge on Swansea's Neil Taylor earned him another booking.
And before the month of August was out, he saw red in the 15th minute of a 1-0 home defeat to Arsenal after stamping on Gunners midfielder Francis Coquelin.
Now the 21-year-old, who returns from a three-match ban against Chelsea on Saturday Night Football live on Sky Sports, is looking to kick-start his career and endear himself to the St James' Park faithful.
"Against Arsenal, I was too emotional, but I have learned a lot from this red card," Mitrovic, who has picked up 47 yellow and six red cards during his short career, was quoted in The Sun.
"I want to show that I can control my emotion and my aggression and can stay calm in certain situations. I hope I can now show everybody in the next few weeks that I am a calm guy.
"Sport is dirty if you want to win the game, but I am not a dirty player. I will use everything that I can in sport conditions, but I don't want to kick or injure anybody.
"The people who are close to me know who I am. I am a really nice, family guy. Maybe on the pitch I look a little bit more aggressive, but that is only because I want to win every ball and every game.
"The problem has been that I have wanted everything now. It is an emotional problem. My price of 18 million euros is a little bit of pressure.
"It is not a big pressure, but I have wanted to show everyone who I am, how I play and why Newcastle brought me here.
"I really want to score my first goal really fast and I have just thought about the goal and not about other things."
