Manchester City will announce the signing of Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus within the next 24 hours, Sky sources understand.
The 19-year-old reportedly turned down the chance to join compatriot Neymar at Barcelona in order to link up with Pep Guardiola at City.
Jesus attracted interest from across Europe after scoring 19 goals in 30 games this season for Palmeiras.
Sky sources understand that Jesus will finish the season with the Brazilian club before joining City.
The forward, who primarily plays on the wing, is set to represent his country at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro later this month.
Jesus will become Guardiola's fourth high-profile signing of the summer, following the arrival of Leroy Sane, Ilkay Gundogan and Nolito.
Sky sources believe City are also close to signing another South American, Colombian striker Marlos Moreno, from Atlético Nacional.
Moreno's agent Eladio Tamayo claims a deal has already been finalised for the 19-year-old. "I will travel with Marlos on Saturday to sign a contract with Manchester City," he told Colombian website Futbolred.
"He will then go on loan to Deportivo La Coruna for a year."
