Sterling struck twice to ensure City continued their 100 per cent start to the Premier League season with a 3-1 win over the Hammers on Sunday.

Fernandinho added City's other goal, but it was Guardiola's celebration for Sterling's second - scored in second-half stoppage time - that caught the eye.

The new City head coach initially looked pleased when the goal went in, but quickly showed his frustration with the way his side had played after half-time.

Having dominated the first half, the hosts' two-goal advantage was halved by Michail Antonio on 58 minutes, and speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Thierry Henry said Guardiola would have been disappointed his side allowed West Ham back into the game.

"The man is a perfectionist so he is happy for one or two seconds, and then he goes back to the man I know," Henry said.

"In his mind he is saying, 'We didn't control the second half, so how come we are winning the game just now?'"
