Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling hopes to maintain his good start to the season and impress Pep Guardiola.

The 21-year-old has made a bright start to the campaign and played a pivotal role in City's 5-0 Champions League play-off victory over Steaua Bucharest in August.

Sterling scored twice in City's 3-1 victory over West Ham and his upturn in form has been noticed by England manager Sam Allardyce, who named the 21-year-old in his first squad for Sunday's World Cup qualifier in Slovakia.

Sterling insists he had no doubts about rediscovering his form, particularly after a poor Euro 2016 campaign where both he and his England team-mates struggled.
