Pep Guardiola may be out of the Champions League but he has now managed 100 UEFA competition games - and has the best record of any coach at that landmark, surpassing Louis van Gaal.

Guardiola's Manchester City were beaten 3-1 by Monaco on Wednesday night, eliminating the Catalan coach from the Champions League before the semi-final stage for the first time in his managerial career.

The loss is only the 16th of his managerial career in Europe with 61 wins and 23 draws.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss has won the Champions League on two occasions and reached the semi-finals on a further five occasions. He has also lifted the UEFA Super Cup on three occasions.

Former Manchester United boss Van Gaal won the Champions League in 1994/95 with Ajax, where he also lifted one of his two UEFA Super Cups and the UEFA Cup.
