Man City 1-1 Liverpool - re-live an action-packed draw

Merse says...

The Premier League is a hard league and there's not 15-20 gimmes like in Spain, so he needs to look at that and adapt his side.

They need full-backs to defend. As a team they're as good as anybody going forward but what Gael Clichy did to give away the penalty against Liverpool is as poor as you'll see.

They can certainly improve in the centre-back, holding midfield and goalkeeper departments as well, so there's a lot to do in the summer.

Thommo says...

Guardiola has obviously still got a very talented squad but it's not to his liking and you can see the frustration that he's not working with his own sort of players.

I think this a big debate as to what he needs. The full-backs are so influential when you look at the top sides and City's do not provide what they require.

They also need a goalkeeper and a centre-back and a central-midfielder who can get around the middle of the park, so there's still a lot of work to do.

Le Tiss says...

For me they definitely need a couple of full-backs, a centre-back and I think they need to bring Joe Hart back.

Going forward they've got bundles of talent. I think the array of talent available is second to nobody in the league and Leroy Sane is just going to get better. He looks top class.

Pep Guardiola was delighted with how his players responded to their Champions League exit

Charlie says...

They need Hart back but I want him at Arsenal and Liverpool will be interested. They need new full-backs and Vincent Kompany doesn't look like he could be trusted so they need another centre-back.

Further forward I don't think they need much with Gabriel Jesus to come back, although I do think Sergio Aguero will leave so they'll need a striker.

Everything they need is in their defence. I would sell Yaya Toure as I don't think he can play that holding role.

They look good when they finally got going against Monaco and Liverpool but they are just a disaster at the back so it's defence, defence, defence.
