Manchester City's chairman has spoken of his pride at the achievements and character of the women's team this season.
City are the reigning Women's Super League champions, the WSL Continental Tyres Cup holders, they made the Champions League semi-finals and earlier in May won the FA Cup after beating Birmingham City Ladies.
It has been a stunning rise and chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak said: "Our women's team are doing everything we hoped for and more.
"They've won every domestic competition in a remarkable way and playing in a beautiful entertaining way.
"We are seeing more and more fans supporting our women's team and that shows we are doing something right.
"We've gone further than any English team in the history of the Champions League. We continue to do great things and it's about all character, commitment and quality of the players and it's about success. They are doing all that.
"I'm proud. It's an important statement by our club. It's real and it's got substance. We are serious and you are seeing those results."
