Villarreal have confirmed the signing of Manchester City striker Enes Unal for a fee of £12m.

Unal, 20, moved to the Etihad in 2015 from Turkish side Bursaspor, but since then he has spent his time on loan.

The Turkey international has enjoyed spells at Genk, NAC Breda and Twente and he managed 30 goals across his time at the three clubs.

Villarreal, who finished fifth in Spain's La Liga, have signed him on a five-year deal.

Unal's departure may not spell the end of his time at City, however, as the deal with Villarreal does allow the English club to buy him back for £17.5m in the future.
