Pep Guardiola says he is not concerned if Manchester City are unable to strengthen during the January transfer window.
Guardiola admits that one or two additions would be welcome as his side compete in four competitions, with City interested in signing Real Sociedad defender Inigo Martinez.
However, the Spaniard said he did not pressure his previous clubs into making signings and is not planning to change his ways.
"In Barcelona, in Bayern Munich, here, I never push," said Guardiola. "The clubs I work with always try to do their best and sometimes it is possible, sometimes not.
"But it is not a big problem. I said many times we are working now for this month, but for the future, for the next seasons.
"If it happens, it happens. If not, I will work with the players I have. The toughest period to buy players is now, because everybody wants to keep their players, so it is not easy.
"We do believe we need something, because we have four competitions. If it doesn't happen, we will move forward with the players we have."
City are currently 15 points clear at the top of the Premier League, with the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final against Bristol City next week - live on Sky Sports. Guardiola's side are also looking forward to a last-16 tie with Basel in the Champions League.
Man City will begin their FA Cup campaign with a third-round tie at home to Burnley on Saturday, but Guardiola continues to play down talk of winning four trophies.
"Maybe that question when we are in March or April, and we are still in four competitions," he said.
"After that, we are going to talk! Tomorrow is the first round of the FA Cup, so thinking about the four competitions is an illusion - it is not realistic, I would say.
"We will need 32 players to play really well in all four competitions and that is not going to happen in my squad."
