Sergio Aguero has decided not to press charges against the Wigan fan that confronted him on Monday night, according to Sky sources.
The Argentine striker would prefer instead to put the incident behind him and concentrate on his football, Sky Sports News understands.
However, Greater Manchester Police are still reviewing the disorder that ensued on the DW Stadium pitch following Wigan's shock FA Cup win over Manchester City, and they are liaising with both clubs.
Aguero was surrounded by a number of fans at full-time and appeared to confront one supporter in particular. The player subsequently reported that he was spat at and abused by a Wigan fan.
Aguero will not face any disciplinary action from the FA, although he has been reminded of his responsibilities, and no formal disciplinary action will be taken against any individual players or non-playing staff from either team in relation to melee that involved Latics boss Paul Cook and Pep Guardiola at half-time.
The disorder at full-time, which included an advertising hoarding being ripped up and thrown at police and stewards from the away end of the ground, is being investigated by the police, the Football Association and both clubs involved.
City remain unhappy with the standard of stewarding and has sought answers over how it was possible so many fans got onto the pitch and so close to their stars.
