Sergio Aguero trained with Manchester City on Monday ahead of the Champions League second-leg clash with Liverpool at the Etihad.

The Argentina striker, who has struggled with injury in recent months, was on the end of a heavy challenge from Ashley Young late on in their Manchester derby defeat on Saturday.

The challenge incensed City boss Pep Guardiola and, when asked about the tackle in his pre-match press conference on Monday, he replied: "He's diving."

Aguero missed the 3-0 first-leg defeat at Anfield last week having failed to recover in time from a thigh injury that had kept him out for over a month.
