Manchester City are likely to give youngster Phil Foden an improved contract in the coming weeks, Sky Sports News understands.

According to sources, Foden, who celebrated his 18th birthday on Monday, will not be loaned out next season after picking up a Premier League winner's medal last term.

It is thought Pep Guardiola is keen to extend Foden's contact as part of his plans to defend City's title.

Foden made 10 appearances for City last season, including five in the Premier League.
