Edin Dzeko is in Italy and received quite a welcome as he looks to complete his move to Roma.

Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko has been given a hero’s welcome by Roma fans ahead of his planned move.

The Bosnian has flown to Italy to undergo a medical, with the two clubs having agreed a fee of around £14m.

Dzeko was mobbed by fans singing his name after he touched down at the airport in Rome.

He joined City four years ago from Wolfsburg and was the club’s top scorer in the 2012/13 season, and he scored 26 goals in all competitions in the title-winning Premier League campaign the following year.

City boss Manuel Pellegrini has however preferred to use Sergio Aguero as the focal point of his attack, with Dzeko more often than not used off the bench.
