Jordan Rhodes has arrived at Middlesbrough's training ground ahead of a proposed move from Blackburn Rovers, according to Sky sources.
On Friday, Middlesbrough confirmed they had agreed a fee with Blackburn for the Scotland international. Sky Sports News HQ understand the deal is worth £11m in total - £9m up front and £2m in add-ons.
Rhodes, who has been at Blackburn since August 2012, is expected to hold talks with Middlesbrough officials and undergo a medical.
The 25-year-old had initially travelled with the rest of the Blackburn first-team squad to Oxford on Friday ahead of their FA Cup fourth-round tie at the Kassam Stadium.
Rhodes has scored 85 goals in 169 matches for Blackburn since leaving Huddersfield, where he netted 87 times in 148 games, in a deal worth up to £8m three-and-a-half years ago.
If Rhodes does complete a move to the Riverside Stadium, he will become manager Aitor Karanka's third signing of the January transfer window following the arrivals of Kike Sola and Gaston Ramirez.
