Middlesbrough's Calum Chambers out for up to a month with stress fracture of foot

Calum Chambers is out for up to a month of Middlesbrough's relegation fight with a stress fracture of the foot.

The centre-half has started 16 times in the Premier League since joining on a season-long loan from Arsenal in the summer and played 90 minutes against West Ham at the weekend.

But his injury was confirmed by Aitor Karanka, speaking at his Thursday press conference ahead of Saturday's FA Cup tie with Accrington.

"Calum has a stress fracture in his foot," the Boro boss said. "I don't know how long he will be out for or if it will be one, two, three or four weeks. At the minute he's trying to get fit as soon as possible."
