Fulham centre-half Fernando Amorebieta has told the club he wants to leave and will not play for them again, according to Sky sources.

The Venezuelan international informed manager Slavisa Jokanovic of his decision on Monday - the first day of pre-season - at the club's Motspur Park training ground.

Amorebieta, who has been capped 15 times by his country, is currently contracted to Fulham until the end of next season.

The 31-year-old has spent time on loan at Middlesbrough during the past two seasons, making 22 appearances for Aitor Karanka's side who were promoted to the Premier League last season.
