Wigan manager Paul Cook is close to agreeing a new long-term contract at the club after a meeting with chairman David Sharpe, according to Sky sources.
The club are keen to secure Cook's future after he guided Wigan to promotion from League One and it is understood the meeting took place on Friday.
Wigan sit two points clear of Blackburn at the top of League One going into the final round of fixtures this weekend and will look to secure the title with a positive result at Doncaster.
Cook was appointed as manager at the DW Stadium in May last year after guiding Portsmouth to the League Two title.
He started his managerial career at Southport before spells at Sligo Rovers, Accrington Stanley and Chesterfield, where he led the club to the League Two title.
Wigan striker Will Grigg also picked up the Player of the Month award after he scored six goals throughout April.
