Wigan have allowed striker Andy Delort to returns to Tours on loan until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.
Confirmation came through minutes before the transfer window closed.
Delort scored 24 goals for the French club last season, prompting Latics to bring him to the club, but he failed to settle in England.
