Charlton Athletic are in takeover discussions with at least two parties interested in buying the League One club.

Sky Sports News understands an Australian consortium and a British-based consortium are among those interested in purchasing the club.

Charlton manager Karl Robinson confirmed discussions are ongoing over the sale of the club but says he is unsure when any potential takeover would be completed.

Speaking after Charlton's 1-1 draw against Wigan at the DW stadium, Robinson told Sky Sports News: "I've been told it could take between 10 days, two weeks, one month, three months or five months.

"It is something that is in conversation with people. The due diligence has to happen and I have been told a number of parties are interested.

"It's a great club. I don't think people understand it until you work within it. What it means to people in south-east London, Kent and everywhere we branch out to.

"We've had some difficult times, some relegations, a number of things haven't gone right. The pride that remains is remarkable.

When asked if the game against Wigan was an audition for any prospective new owners, Robinson replied: "I couldn't care less what they think of me. I'm here to do the job as a manager.

"We all know what happens behind the scenes. I'm wasn't doing an audition today. That's life and I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

"I'm here to work the fans and my players amidst the uncertainty that is going on."

Robinson says he is not concerned about disrupting the club's transfer window ahead of the January window following "clear and precise" conversations with the chairman and owner of the club.

"[Transfer targets] don't change. [Charlton chairman] Richard Murray is still active in the boardroom and has been at the club for many years," he said.

"I spoke to him yesterday. I spoke with the owner yesterday about the players we need to bring in.

"It was very clear and precise. I'm quite relaxed about the whole thing really."
