Sankofa stays with Robins
Bristol City have extended the loan of Charlton Athletic defender Osei Sankofa.
Bristol City have extended the loan of Charlton Athletic defender Osei Sankofa for a second month. The 20-year-old has made seven appearances for Gary Johnson's side, with the player being the former Yeovil Town boss's first player signing since taking charge at Ashton Gate back in September.
Sankofa has impressed the former Latvia coach with his performances for the struggling League One club and has opted to extend his stay in the West Country.
The Addicks will be able to recall the youngster at 24 hours' notice, should they need to do so, and he will not be eligible to appear in Saturday's FA Cup first round tie against Notts County.
Johnson, meanwhile, has also taken Chippenham Town striker James Constable on trial at the club.
The former Cirencester Town hit-man has scored 11 goals for the Southern League Premier Division club this season and has attracted the interest of several Football League clubs.
Chippenham boss Darren Perrin confirmed that fellow League One sides Swansea City, Swindon Town and Walsall have enquired about the 21-year-old.
Johnson admitted they will take a closer look at Constable.
"He trained with us on Monday and did well," Johnson added.
"We'll have another look at him on Thursday because he's done well so far."
