West Ham midfielder Manuel Lanzini has been ruled out for up to six weeks with a thigh injury.

The Argentine suffered a quadriceps problem in training ahead of Saturday's 0-0 draw at Manchester United.

Chelsea loanee Victor Moses was substituted after 37 minutes of the match at Old Trafford with a hamstring problem and the Hammers will also find out on Tuesday the extent of his injury.

Co-chairman David Gold tweeted on Monday: "I'm optimistic that Lanzini will be available for Stoke but we must wait till Tuesday for the scan on Victor [Moses]."

Lanzini, 22, underwent a scan on Monday and is set to be absent until mid-January, facing a return when the Hammers host Manchester City on January 23.
