West Ham in loan bid for Emmanuel Emenike - Sky sources

West Ham have made a bid to take Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike on loan for the rest of the season, according to Sky sources.

Emenike, 28, has been playing on loan in Dubai for Al Ain, and West Ham boss Slaven Bilic knows they player from his time in Turkey as Besiktas boss.

Hammers co-owner David Sullivan told Sky Sports News HQ on Tuesday that the club was interested in a striker who had been playing in a "strange" league.

The move for the Nigeria international would need the agreement of Fenerbahce and Al Ain.

Sullivan told SSN HQ: "We are looking, long-term, for a 20-goal-a-season striker.

"There's a possibility that a striker will come in on loan in the next seven days, with the option to buy him. He's an overseas striker.
