West Ham's Michail Antonio should not be compared to Homer Simpson because he works too hard, says Slaven Bilic regarding his midfielder's animated weekend celebrations.
After scoring a stunning winner in Saturday's Premier League 1-0 win over Sunderland, the 25-year-old surprised everybody at Upton Park by dropping to the turf and propelling himself in circles.
Antonio said at the weekend: "I watched The Simpsons Movie and I saw Homer do it, and I thought it looked hilarious so I'll do it if I score.
"It was all planned. I told all the boys and they said [there was] no way I'd do it, but I did! I think I pulled it off."
Speaking ahead of Wednesday's showdown with Tottenham, Bilic joked that all comparisons should be put aside because of the differences in work-rate.
The Hammers boss said: "I am a big fan of The Simpsons and saw his celebrations. To see him connected with Homer Simpson, they have nothing in common - there is no connection between the two.
"Homer is lazy. Michail is a workaholic. But I enjoyed his celebration."
