West Ham manager Slaven Bilic recovering from heavy dose of flu

Slaven Bilic is expected back at West Ham’s training ground over the next couple of days, after spending time in hospital with a heavy dose of flu.

The Hammers boss started feeling unwell on Saturday, following the club's victory at Middlesbrough.

On Sunday he felt worse and went to a hospital in London where he was kept in for observation.

Press Association Sport understands the 48-year-old went back home on Tuesday and could return to work later this week.

A number of West Ham players and staff have also suffered from the flu during the past couple of weeks.

The club do not have a fixture this weekend, having already been knocked out of the FA Cup by Manchester City who will be their next opponents on Wednesday, February 1.
