West Bromwich Albion are aiming to reach 50 points to ensure a top-half Premier League finish, says Ben Foster.

Gareth McAuley got the final touch on a Jonny Evans header to earn West Brom a last-gasp draw against West Ham at the London Stadium on Saturday, reaffirming the Baggies' current top 10 status.

Tony Pulis' side are eighth in the Premier League on 37 points, five clear of their next-closest challengers Stoke, and Foster admits the club are looking towards a record tally.

"The target now for us is 50 points and a top-half finish," he said. "That would be a very good season for us.

"We'd like to get to 40 points as soon as possible.

"Once we've got past 40 we can really push on and get to 50 points for the first time."

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic and his assistant Nikola Jurcevic were both sent off during the course of Saturday's fixture for their angry reactions to referee Michael Oliver's decision-making.

January signing Robert Snodgrass told the club's official website: "It's obviously a devastating way to lose a goal, so late on, but that's part and parcel of football.

"The lads did feel as though there was a foul in there for the goal, so that's frustrating.

"But some you get and some you don't and we'll pick ourselves up and go again."
