Arsene Wenger says the belief is back at Arsenal

Arsene Wenger says that Arsenal have their confidence back after a convincing 3-0 win over West Ham on Wednesday night.

Goals from Mesut Ozil, Theo Walcott and sub Olivier Giroud handed Arsenal a much-needed victory after winning just one of their previous six in the Premier League.

It means Arsenal are firmly back in the hunt for the top four, sitting four points off fourth-place Manchester City with a game in hand.

Wenger told Sky Sports: "I felt that the confidence is back, and we have found Ozil back, Sanchez back, everybody focused to do well, and you feel that united team, and that makes the difference.

"It's a good night for us because it's a while where it didn't go that way for Arsenal at all. We needed that win, and in the last two games our fans have been great, against City and then tonight.

"That's built on from that, we go into the final part of the season where the consistency of our attitude, focus and results will be vital."

Asked about going the rest of the season unbeaten and reaching the top four, as they did in the previous campaign, Wenger said: "We have to try. We have a little handicap on the point front, but we want to have a go, and we have a difficult schedule, but if everybody is ready for it, that's what we want."

Arsenal 3-0 West Ham

Arsenal passed 100 goals for the season on Wednesday night, and Wenger insists they have good attacking options both on and off the bench.

"We know that we have a very good attacking front and that we can score goals, you saw that again tonight. Giroud, who did not start but came on to score, we have a quality bench, and yes we have scored plenty of goals."

Asked once more about his future, Wenger was insistent that the only thing he is thinking about is his satisfaction at going home with three points.

"My future is to go home tonight, a bit happier than in recent games."
