David Moyes has called on West Ham fans to unite and get behind their team after protests against the board erupted during their defeat to Burnley.
Co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold were forced to leave the London Stadium early for their own safety, as supporters invaded the pitch and turned their anger away from the game and towards the directors' box.
The Hammers succumbed to a 3-0 loss - their third successive Premier League defeat - and Moyes insists the players need fan support if they hope to stave off relegation.
"What we need the club to do now, the supporters, players, everybody, is pull together," he said.
"When I took over we were in the bottom three. We're not in the bottom three (now). Can we improve? Can we play better? Of course we can. But to do it, it would really help for everyone to pull in one direction.
"If anything, now, I'll promise the supporters I'll get the best I can from the players, the best mentality, the best condition. If we're not good enough, then that's something else. But I want the supporters to be like that as well.
"I've told them (the players) that we're all sticking together, that we're going to stick our chests out, get back to winning ways and do it together.
"Everyone knows you don't come on the pitch - that's the rules. (But) I'm more interested in the football and why we didn't do well enough in the game. When it went to two it didn't look like that was the game it was going to be.
"We need to play better for longer periods, and defend better in the short periods we're put under pressure. We need to find that."
