Burnley boss Sean Dyche is waiting to learn the full extent of club record signing Andre Gray's hamstring injury.

Gray, signed from Brentford last month, was forced out of Monday night's goalless draw at Derby after half an hour.

The 24-year-old is a major doubt for the Clarets' home game against Reading on Saturday but Dyche, waiting for scan results, is hopeful the injury is not too severe.

"We'll have to wait and see," Dyche said.

"It looks like a minor hamstring but certainly the way he was moving I'm hopeful it's only a minor one, rather than a serious one."

Gray was withdrawn at Derby in his fourth appearance for Burnley but has already made an impact with one goal, in the recent win against Sheffield Wednesday, and two assists.
