Wolves have completed the loan signing of Grant Holt from Sky Bet League One Wigan and the veteran striker is available for Saturday's trip to Midlands rivals Birmingham.

The 34-year-old has been struggling with a long-term knee injury and has made just five substitute appearances for Latics so far this season.

But the former Norwich and Nottingham Forest forward, who will remain at Molineux until January, has been given the chance to impress in the Sky Bet Championship.

"We are delighted to bring Grant to the club and he increases our options up front," said Wolves boss Kenny Jackett.

"For Grant it is an opportunity back in the Championship which I am sure he will be determined to take.
