Queens Park Rangers have signed Nasser El Khayati for a fee of £350,000 from Burton Albion.

The striker has agreed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the west London club which sees him reunited with former Brewers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

El Khayati did not feature in Albion's defeat at Rochdale on Saturday as transfer negotiations progressed.

Hasselbaink signed the 26-year-old from NAC Breda in January 2015 and he scored 11 goals in 44 appearances for the Sky Bet League 1 club.

El Khayati, who began his career at Dutch amateur side Kozakken Boys, is Burton's top scorer this season with eight goals.

QPR have been looking to sign a striker following the sale of Charlie Austin to Southampton for £4m.

Hasselbaink said: "I know him well and he's a good character. He wants to work hard and wants to keep improving.

"He's a very technical player - something totally different to what we have here. He likes to take people on and create.

"He's a wide player, who can also play off the front if we need him to. He prefers to play from the left because he can go both ways - in or out.
