Bolton are to mark the 70th anniversary of the Burnden Park disaster by wearing their commemorative third kit for Tuesday's home game against Ipswich.

The tragedy occurred when 33 people were killed in a crush at the FA Cup sixth-round match between Bolton and Stoke on 9 March 1946.

The disaster is one of the worst in English football history and is remembered every year by Bolton and the club's fans.

This year the team will wear their commemorative kit, which does not carry any sponsorship branding, against Ipswich.

A special matchday programme has also been produced and, ahead of the game, Joanna Forest will sing Abide With Me, prior to a period of silence.

There will be a public memorial service pitchside at the Macron Stadium at 3pm on Wednesday, exactly 70 years to the day of the tragedy.
