Isaac Hayden has withdrawn from the England Under-21 squad ahead of their European Championship qualifying clash against Switzerland on Saturday due to injury.
The 21-year-old Arsenal defender is currently on loan at Hull and has made 21 appearances for the Sky Bet Championship club this season.
Gareth Southgate's Under-21 side are top of their qualifying group and travel to Thun looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign.
A Football Association statement, which did not specify the nature of the injury, read: "The player, who remained with his club for ongoing assessment on an injury, has not made sufficient progress."
