Reading have completed the signing of defender Liam Moore from Leicester City on a four-year contract.

Moore, who turned down a new contract offer from the Premier League champions, put pen to paper after the two clubs have agreed a deal of around £1.5m for the former England U21 international.

The 23-year-old centre-back passed a medical with the Royals on Friday and was at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday to see Jaap Stam's side host Brighton in the Sky Bet Championship.

After making Reading's 10th signing of the summer, Royals boss Stam told his club's official website: "Liam is the type of defender who can play high up the pitch, because he has pace and he can cover distances quickly should the opposition play long balls over the top or try to get in behind the back line.

"He is comfortable on the ball and can play it out from the back, he is an aggressive defender and good in one-on-one situations. I'm really pleased he has joined our squad at Reading."

Moore has made 67 appearances for Leicester but did not make a league appearance last season during the Foxes' title-winning campaign.
