Reading winger Tarique Fosu has joined Colchester on loan until the new year.
The 20-year-old made his Royals debut as a substitute against Derby in May 2015 and enjoyed spells with Fleetwood and Accrington last season.
Fosu scored once in seven appearances for the Cod Army before bagging three goals in nine games to help Stanley reach the Sky Bet League Two play-offs.
He now returns to the fourth tier on a deal which runs until January 7, according to Colchester's official website.
The U's have also completed the loan signing of Arsenal midfielder Glen Kamara.
Finland Under-21 international Kamara will remain at the Weston Homes Community Stadium until January.
The 20-year-old made his Gunners debut in last season's 3-0 League Cup defeat at Sheffield Wednesday before making six appearances on loan at Southend.
