Ryan Sessegnon committed to Fulham and targeting promotion to Premier League

Teenage sensation Ryan Sessegnon insists he is fully committed to Fulham and hopes to help the club secure promotion back to the Premier League this season.

The 16-year-old has enjoyed superb breakthrough season in the Sky Bet Championship and has cemented himself as manager Slavisa Jokanovic's first-choice left-back.

Reports in the national press have linked Sessegnon with a move away from Craven Cottage, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United among a host of clubs mooted as potential suitors.

But, in his first interview with FulhamFCTV, Sessegnon said: "My ambition is to be the best I can be. I am a Fulham player, this is my club, I love being at this club.

"The opportunities I have had this season have been great and on a personal note I just want to help the team gain promotion to the Premier League where we belong.

He is the 16-year-old everyone is talking about, so how good is Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon?

"I don't pay too much attention to it [the talk in the press] I just focus on one job and that is playing for Fulham."

Fulham are enjoying their best season since their relegation from the Premier League in 2014 and currently sit in seventh place, just one point off the play-off positions.

Sessegnon, who made his debut in the 3-2 EFL Cup victory over Leyton Orient in August, has scored six times in 24 appearances for Fulham and notably netted twice in the 3-1 win away at league leaders Newcastle earlier this month.

He added: "I am surprised how many games I have played with the first team at the age of 16, but it has been fantastic so far and I just want to keep on going.

"I did set myself a target, at first I did say five to ten games just to be involved, but as it has gone on I have been more and more part of the squad and I just want to keep going."
