Dowell is the youngest hat-trick scorer in the Championship since Demarai Gray's treble for Birmingham against Reading in December 2014 (18 years, 168 days), as well as the youngest Championship hat-trick scorer in an away game since Jonjo Shelvey did so for Blackpool at Leeds in November 2011 (19 years, 248 days).
