Didier Ndong has completed his Watford medical ahead of a loan move from Sunderland, say Sky sources.

The Gabon international has arrived at the Watford training ground ahead of his move from the Championship side.

Sky Sports News reported on Tuesday Watford would sign Ndong on a loan deal, with Javi Gracia's side having the option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season.

Sunderland broke their transfer record in 2016 to sign Ndong from French club Lorient for £13.5m. During his 18-month spell at the club he has made 54 appearances and scored once.

Watford have also completed the signings of Dodi Lukebakio from Anderlecht and Gerard Deulofeu from Barcelona this week.

Gracia will take charge of his first Premier League game at Watford when they travel to Stoke on Wednesday evening.

Sky Sports News understands Troy Deeney is likely to remain at the club as he has travelled to Stoke with the rest of the Watford squad - despite an approach from West Brom.
