Havant & Waterlooville striker JJ Hooper is attracting interest from a number of Sky Bet Championship and League One clubs, Sky Sports understands.

The 21-year-old, former Newcastle Utd and Northampton Town striker is the top goalscorer in the Vanarama Conference South with 11 goals in 14 games in all competitions so far this season.

The 6ft 1in athletic frontman has scored all his goals from open play, averaging a goal every 80 minutes played.

Last season Hooper spent the final 11 games with struggling Conference South side Farnborough, scoring seven goals in that period which helped the Hampshire side to secure their league status.

He has continued to find the back of the net in impressive style this season, firing Havant & Waterlooville to third place in the Vanarama Conference South.

Hooper's tally of 18 goals in his last 25 games has not gone unnoticed as a host of Football League clubs are keeping tabs on his progress.
