Birmingham have confirmed they will not offer new deals to Mark Duffy, Wes Thomas, David Edgar, Lee Novak and Neal Eardley.
The decision comes a day after the Sky Bet Championship club announced Mitch Hancox will also leave St. Andrew's.
Eardley has struggled with injuries, suffering two cruciate ligament problems, which limited him to just 21 appearances in three years.
Midfielder Duffy helped Burton to promotion from Sky Bet League One while on loan this season while Thomas has been at Bradford since January.
Canadian international defender Edgar has been at St. Andrew's since June 2014, after joining from Burnley.
Novak has spent three years with Blues and scored 12 goals in 69 games before joining Chesterfield on loan this season, where he netted 15 times.
