Birmingham City fans voiced their displeasure at the final whistle after the Blues lost 2-0 at home to Burton Albion

Birmingham boss Gianfranco Zola was subjected to the chant 'We Want Zola Out' from his own club's fans on Saturday. Was that the final straw for the Italian?

Following Birmingham's 2-0 loss to Burton Albion on Saturday, their scrap for Championship survival continues with the club sitting 20th in the table and without a win since February. After the game, Zola resigned from his post.

Zola was appointed Blues manager in December following the sacking of now-Derby boss Gary Rowett. At the time, the Blues were sitting seventh in the Sky Bet Championship and just three points behind Reading in third place.

Birmingham are now just three points off the relegation zone, and after losing to their relegation rivals at St Andrew's, the home support voiced their displeasure with very audible boos and the chant 'We Want Zola Out'. Did that impact on Zola's decision to resign?
