Harry Redknapp impressed by Birmingham fan tattoo

Harry Redknapp was impressed by the commitment of fan Joe Lombardi after his Deadline Day tribute to Birmingham City's manager.

Joe promised to get an image of Redknapp engraved onto his leg if Birmingham managed to sign Brentford forward Jota.

The Spaniard completed his move to St Andrews in a £6m deal on deadline day and Redknapp was impressed with the commitment displayed when shown the tattoo at a press conference.

"I don't think I'd have thought about going that far about anybody," said Redknapp. "He's obviously a keen Blues fan which is great, we have got fantastic support at this club."

Jota was one of three signings from Brentford at the end of the transfer window, joining defenders Harlee Dean and Maxime Colin in moving from the West London side.
