Dragons land Black Cat cover

Wrexham have raided Sunderland to bring Michael Ingham to The Racecourse Ground on a month's loan.

The temporary move ends Denis Smith's desperate search for a new keeper after learning that first choice Andy Dibble looks certain to miss the remainder of the season after breaking his arm and dislocating a shoulder in the heavy defeat to Peterborough.

Smith feels Paul Whitfield is not ready for first team football yet and has taken action by bringing Northern Irishman Ingham to Wales.

"Paul is not a young boy, he's 21 and he's got to learn his job," Smith said after the weekend thumping.

Ingham is well used to going out on loan having spent previous spells with the likes of Stoke City, Stockport County, Darlington and York City.
