West Brom striker Saido Berahino will speak to chairman Jeremy Peace in the next few weeks in a bid to find a resolution over his future at the club, according to Sky sources.

Berahino - who has only started eight Premier League games this season and has not scored a league goal since mid-October - was the subject of £21m bids from both Newcastle and Stoke on Sunday, but Peace maintained throughout the transfer window that the striker was not for sale.

Tottenham, who saw their own £22m bid fail in the summer, did not return for the England U21 international in the winter window, meaning the player is at the Hawthorns at least until the summer, when he will only have 12 months remaining on his contract.

The 22-year-old, who expressed his frustration at being denied a move to Spurs at the end of the last transfer window on Twitter, again took to social media late on Deadline Day, although his tone appeared much more conciliatory.
